On Friday, January 9, I drove to Springfield to attend a conference. When I got to my hotel, I noticed steam coming out from under the hood. There was a smell of hot radiator fluid and I knew that I needed to have my car looked at on Saturday morning before driving back home later that day.

I called several places on Saturday morning, but none of them could look at the car. I explained my situation to Bob at Midtown Tire & Auto Service, and he told me to come in right away.

The only thing wrong was a loose radiator cap. I had my oil changed the day before and as soon as I mentioned that, the guys knew what to check. I was extremely relieved that the problem was so minor.

When I went to pay for the service, I was told that there was no charge and that I should have a good day. They would not take payment at all. I was stunned that they would do this for me, but extremely grateful.

So rarely do you encounter such helpful and courteous people. I cannot thank you enough for helping me. It truly made my day.

Please thank all of the guys that helped me on Saturday. I was able to go back to my conference in time for lunch and see Howard Dean, the presidential candidate, speak at our convention. The car has been working fine since your people took such good care of me.
